A wonderful song of praise that finishes with a prayer thanking God for his strength in providing refuge from the evil one. The setting is the temple and the plea is to avoid going down into the pit with the wicked. Once you work through the psalm, pray to God for deliverance and then turn to thanksgiving to God for all his gifts.
