This psalm is very well know and be recited by many from memory. The psalm is used at many funerals, so I tend to pray with it for those who have died or are close to death. It is natural to fear death and this psalm addresses that in the line where David says he fears no evil because the Lord is with him. You can pray in many ways with this psalm that is full of sacred imagery of heaven and its rewards.
