This psalm is a hymn of thanksgiving for a military victory but can also be our victory over evil because of God’s love for us.
God reaches out to save us if we keep the ways of the Lord, His laws and decrees. If we are faithful, honest and pure, He is as well. Against the perverse, haughty and dark, God is our light.
God gives us strength against the foe, a bow of bronze and a saving shield. If I stand with the Lord, He will stand with me and keep me upright.
My prayer is to sing the praises of God to all the nations!
