Prating with the Psalms
In Pssalm 3 David, the assumed author of this psalm is reaching out to God for help against his enemies. This could easily be sung by Jesus after an encounter with the many factions that line up against Jesus during his public ministry. Chapter 9 of John’s gospel is dedicated exclusively to Jesus’ encounter with The man born blind John 9:1-41 and his back and forth with the Pharisees. I can see Jesus praying Psalm 3 to his Father after this discussion with the Pharisees. Who or what are your enemies that you need to pray with and for to God?
